Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your contact details (name, email or phone), the language and area you need, the type of care, your preferred dates, and which clinic you chose. We only ask for what is needed to arrange a visit, and we never need your medical history or a diagnosis.

Health information (such as symptoms) is “special care-required personal information” under Japanese law. We only collect it with your opt-in consent, and we ask you not to include detailed symptoms in the request form.

How we use it

Only to arrange your appointment, to contact you about your request, and to improve the service. We do not sell your information.

Sharing

We share what is needed to arrange your visit with the clinic, with your consent. We do not provide your data on an opt-out basis.

Who sees your request

Your request is sent only to the clinic you chose, to arrange your visit. It is never sold, shared with any other third party, or used for advertising. Booking is paused right now while we build it to run inside Curae, so nothing is being collected yet; when it reopens, requests will pass straight to the clinic through our own system rather than a person handling them by hand.

You can browse every clinic and all listing details without an account, and booking through Curae is never required. You can always contact a clinic directly.

Where your data is stored

Our hosting, data-store, email, and analytics providers (Vercel, Upstash, Resend, and PostHog) operate in the United States. By using Curae you consent, under Article 28 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, to your information being stored and processed outside Japan, where data-protection rules may differ. We limit who can access it and take reasonable measures to protect it.

Analytics & cookies

To improve the service we use PostHog, Inc. (United States) for analytics. It records which pages are viewed, clicks and similar interactions, the device and browser type, and an approximate region estimated from the IP address. A small identifier is stored in your browser (as a cookie or similar) so repeat views count as one visitor.

Analytics data is never linked to your name or to the contents of a booking request, and it is not used for advertising. Because Curae is a medical site, session replay (screen recording) is switched off, and anything you type into the search box is stripped from URLs before they are sent.

Retention & your rights

We keep your information only as long as needed to coordinate your request. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your data at any time.
