Reviews
Reviews on Curae are different from other sites.
When you're choosing where to be seen, what other patients say matters, so we take it seriously. We show feedback from verified patients that's honest, representative, and safe to rely on. Here's what makes reviews on Curae different, and how to leave one.
Frequently asked questions
How are Curae reviews different?+−
Every review on Curae comes from someone who booked through Curae and whose visit the clinic confirmed. Two things set them apart:
- They come from real, verified patients. On many sites, anyone can post, people who never visited, or even the clinic itself. On Curae, only a patient who actually attended can leave a review.
- They're representative. We invite feedback after every visit, not just from the delighted or the furious, so what you read reflects the typical experience, good and bad.
How do I leave a review?+−
After your appointment you'll get an email inviting you to share your experience, just follow the link and answer a few short questions. You can leave feedback for up to 120 days after your visit, under your first name or anonymously.
Does Curae only show positive reviews?+−
No. A directory is only useful if it's honest, so we publish positive, negative, and everything in between. Clinics cannot edit, hide, or delete reviews, and are prohibited from pressuring patients over them. If a clinic ever asks you to remove or change an honest review, please tell us.
What kind of feedback won't be published?+−
To keep reviews fair, useful, and within Japan's medical advertising guidelines, we don't publish:
- Claims about the accuracy of a diagnosis or treatment. You can describe how you were treated as a person, communication, waiting, language support, the booking experience, but not clinical claims about whether a diagnosis or treatment was right.
- Personal information. Full names, contact details, or information that identifies you or anyone else.
- Profanity, or anything abusive or off-topic. Including promotional content unrelated to the visit.
Can a clinic pay to change its reviews?+−
No, and this matters. Clinics pay a flat fee to be listed, but payment has zero effect on reviews: not the rating, not which ones appear, not the ability to remove them. Reviews and money are kept completely separate.
Why does Curae moderate reviews?+−
Because feedback is only worth reading if you can trust it. We moderate to keep reviews genuine, representative, and compliant with the medical advertising guidelines, helpful to patients and fair to clinics alike.
